Donate my Mobile Phone

Give back to the community – upcycle your mobile smartphone by donating it to charity.

On average we upgrade our mobile phone every two years and as a result 62% of us have one or two old mobile phone tucked away in a draw, and only 8% of Australians recycled their old phone in 2016*.

Don’t recycle your old mobile phone, UPCYCLE it!

Give back to the community by donating your mobile phone to our Partner not-for-profit organisation, Sydney Community Services. Your phone will be refurbished, your data deleted and the phones provided to those clients most in need of staying in contact and connection.

Sydney Community Services is is a local not-for-profit organisation that helps residents to live a quality and independent life in their own home and in their community. SCS provide services to the aged and people living with a disability including social activities, community and engagement programs, personal care and assistance in daily life.

In addition, Bromily will donate its time to refurbishing the phones and removing your personal data.

 

Where/How you can Donate

Simply:

  1. Remove you SIM card
  2. Remove any PIN codes and reset the phone if you are able to
  3. Post your mobile phone and charger to:
    Sydney Community Services
    1 Pottery Lane
    Lane Cove NSW 2066.

 

What happens with your donation

Your phone will be:

  1. Factory reset, refurbished and all of your personal data removed
  2. Tested
  3. Given to those in need to connect to loved ones and the care workers they depend upon.

Training courses are run by Sydney Community Service for its clients on how to use a smart phone, and assistance in mobile plans is provided.
